Weekend Reading

via

Happy Friday! I am getting ready to leave for our annual summer trip to the lake. Looking forward to unplugging for 2 weeks, and getting in some much needed water time! What are your plans for the 4th of July? We'll be watching the fireworks from the dock, and attending the small town parade where I grew up. Have a wonderful next few weeks, and celebrate our freedom on the 4th!

Here is what caught my eye this week:

I love reading this blog. Alicia's photography style is really inspiring; her photos always feel so cozy & inviting.

I've been enjoying following Jillian's trip home to Canada. Her photos always blow me away!

This hand knit dress is AMAZING! I wish my knitting skills were that good

A great travel guide to Traverse City / Leelanau. It's my favorite place in Lower Michigan.

Check out these Summer Essential Oil Remedies.

An easy recipe for Grilled Corn & Peach Salad. A great side dish for a 4th of July BBQ!

Weekend Reading

Happy Friday! I recently saw this photo on Facebook of ladies hiking in our canyon in the 1920s. I love old photos! What are your plans for the weekend? We are finishing the drywall in the new bedroom we added in our house; I can't wait to have it done. I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

Here is what caught my eye this week:

DIY to try: Hanging Table

Great bohemian design & decor in this home

Want to see my latest Etsy favorites?

I love these inspiring 'Simple Evenings' Megan puts together.

What can I do with all of the rhubarb growing in my garden right now? Spicy Rhubarb Margaritas? Yes, please!

18 frozen treats you can make without an ice cream maker. Side note: Do you have an ice cream maker? Do you like it? I've been contemplating getting one for awhile.

Flourless Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies. Yum!

Soaking Up The Sun

via

I'm sorry for my lack of posting this month. Once the weather gets warm, I spend most of my time enjoying my favorite outdoor activities {gardening, landscaping, home exterior projects, cooking outdoors, dining al fresco, sunbathing, kayaking, camping, and so on}. Sometimes, I really wish we lived in a place where we can enjoy these activities year-round.

In other news, we celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary earlier this month, and the puppy made out fine at the vet. We're just going to monitor the lump to make sure it doesn't get larger or change in any way. How has your June been so far?

I'll be back Friday with a Weekend Reading post for you.
